We know that joining a new school at any point in your school career can be a nerve wracking experience for pupils so we hope this information will help you feel prepared for your time with us.

The School Day
Children should not arrive on the school site before 8.45am. From 8.45am each morning a member of staff is on duty at the entrance to school, to support with crossing the road and safe entry into the school grounds.
School Day: 8.55am-3.30pm
(32 hours and 55 minutes per week)
School day starts: 8.55am prompt
Children are welcomed into school from 8.45am. Teachers provide early morning learning activities until registration starts at 8.55am.
Morning Break: 10.30am – 10.45am
Lunch Break: 12:00pm - 1:00pm
Afternoon Break: 2.15pm – 2.30pm
End of school day: 3.30pm
Copley Community
All the members of our school community are assigned to a House which is represented by a colour (red, yellow, green, blue) and a scientist that has been awarded the Copley Medal (Hawking, Darwin, Hodgkin, Einstein).
Any House Points that pupils earn are counted collectively and each term, the House with the highest totals, enjoys a reward.
Throughout the year, we run events and competitions in our 'Houses' and we eat lunch in our 'Houses' too!
